Senior Business Analyst
Location: NYC
Position Open: 1 for Contract and 1 for Fulltime
Duration: 6 months
Looking for media, publishing, advertising, marketing, digital or creative background MUST
Local candidate only- NY, NJ or CT. Face to face required.
As a Business and Functional Analyst, they will work as a liaison among Business and Technical stakeholders in order to elicit, analyze, communicate and validate business and functional requirements to be used to build for changes to business processes, policies and information systems. They will be responsible for taking feedback from brand teams, enterprise clients, subject matter experts, and technical partner(s), synthesizing the feedback, gaining buy-in on how to respond, and managing and communicating the necessary changes and/or feature specifications
Experience
1-2 years of web programming or comparable experience
3+ years experience managing technical and/or operational teams
3+ years experience managing business and functional requirement gathering and documentation.
Proven track record as a technical and functional leader
Skills
Able to understand business processes and enable technology solutions to support client's business
Able to be flexible and tolerate ambiguity while still operating effectively
Able to be consistently detail-oriented
Able to negotiate requirements from diverse source, sometimes with diverging goals
Complete knowledge of software development methodologies and understand impact of requirements to each methodology.
Complete knowledge of QA processes and conventions: from creating test cases, code reviews, unit & integration testing, etc
Able to effectively and accurately delegate responsibilities
Possess a successful track record for delivering time-sensitive technology and functional documentation projects
Demonstrate leadership in providing effective team approaches and processes
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Stay current with emerging technologies and contribute to overall technical direction of Technology
• Accurately estimate hours and project time needs, actively participate in requirements definition
• Create and maintain Functional and Technical Requirements as well as other business documentation
• Review User-Experience and Functional deliverables to ensure they present a consistent view of the features as defined in requirements.Trace Requirements to User Experience and Creative Design deliverables.Lead the definition of common and default values for user inputs and outputs, including definition of the data set desired by the brand teams
• Create detailed "how to" guides to be used by other agency teams to implement the required functionality
• Proactively identify and resolve unforeseen technical issues with your team Participate in the identification, evaluation and selection of 3rd party vendors who's services are required for the successful completion of a project
• Develop client team leadership for complex and/or multiple projects Anticipate, approve and work with Resource Manager/Client IT organization to staff projects
• Partner with agency team to develop initial concept for client projects and define project scope, budgets and timelines as well as to ensure quality and timely development and delivery Work closely with the agency team to determine daily project status
• Assist the over all quality assurance process Participate in client discussions regarding status and provide technology insights and recommendations.
• Create quality and timely Performance Reviews and Development Plans Ensure that staff meets Client, Department and Corporate Standard / Process
Education
A Bachelor's degree required, preferably a Bachelor's of Science in a Technology or computer related discipline
