Location : Jersey City

Duration : 12 Month

 

Job Description:

This individual will provide infrastructure support for WebSphere and other J2EE containers from development thru to production.  Individual will need to demonstrate expertise in the areas of optimization and management of Web/Applications servers (IBM WebSphere, Tomcat) and high performance J2EE based applicationsboth intranet & internet facing.

The individual will be responsible for successfully resolving application problems encountered in the production system within a constrained period of time. The individual will also work on building out new infrastructure to support new development projects as well as support environment upgrades on existing infrastructure. The individual will be responsible for achieving a rapid ramp up of a technical knowledge base in both the technical infrastructure as well as the Web & Middleware based applications that can include Cognos, Informatica , SharePoint, and other third party products.   This will involve 24/7 support and will require the skills to isolate and resolve production issues quickly.

 

Required Skills:

·         WebSphere 6.1 & 7 Application Server (WAS)

·         Tomcat

·         Cognos & Infromatica experience.

·         WPS (WebSphere Portal)

·         Experience with Web Services, XML

·         Enterprise Java Beans, design and implementations

·         Java Servlets and JSPs

·         Web based application development

·         Web Servers (IHS, Apache)

·         Heterogeneous operating systems, (Linux, UNIX, Windows)

·         Candidate must be a good team player, have excellent verbal and written skills.
