We are seeking a New York City-based Manager to join our Quality Assurance Test Automation Group.

•           Describe the role:  As a member of a small core Test Automation Group, the individual will also be responsible for maintaining components of the automation framework consisting of Excel macros, VBScript code and SQL queries.  The individual will work closely with QA Analysts, Developers, Project Managers and Business Analysts responsible for applications.  The Test Automation Manager will be required to direct automation engineers both onshore and offshore on day to day activities as well as provide weekly/ monthly status reports and work estimates to QA management.  The individual may also be required to develop and execute application performance tests using our automation framework and Performance Testing Tools (e.g., LoadRunner or SilkPerformer).  The individual will also share in the responsibility of supporting Quality Center.

 

Describe the applications and business or enterprise functions the role supports:

•           The key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

o          Manage and coordinate work for onshore and offshore resources by assigning work tasks and verifying work quality.

o          Integrate automated test cases into existing Quality Center system and automation framework.

o          Provide solutions needed to enhance the automation suite and automation framework capabilities.

o          Provide accurate and precise estimates for assigned task duration, along with confidence levels and foreseeable dependencies.

Job Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have the following:

• Qualifications, Experience, and Education:

o   Three+ years of management experience.

o   Eight+ years of “hands-on” Software Test Automation experience working on a range of software development environments, especially Java and .Net based applications.

o   Three+ years of “hands-on” Performance Testing experience using either SilkPerformer or LoadRunner

o   Proven knowledge of automation testing tools, QuickTest Pro and TestPartner preferred.

o   Proven knowledge and application of structured testing concepts, methodologies and tools
